Epoxy Flooring in Sharonville, OH: Floors for 1960s–80s Garages
About seven in ten Sharonville homes went up between 1960 and 1999, so most slabs here have plenty of winters behind them. We grind them smooth, fill the cracks and finish them in flake, metallic or solid-color epoxy.
Floors for Sharonville’s Older Slabs
Sharonville boomed in the 1960s, growing from 3,890 residents in 1960 to 11,393 by 1970, and that decade still accounts for more of today’s homes than any other. The median home was built around 1974. So many garage slabs in town, from the streets near Sharon Woods to the blocks off Reading Road, are fifty years old or more. With the right prep, slabs that age can still be coated: a garage floor coating, a basement or laundry-room floor, or a commercial floor for a kitchen or back room.
We set the price after walking the floor and looking at its cracks, oil stains and any old paint. If a crack is still moving, you hear about it before anything is coated; a coating won’t hold a shifting slab together.
About 94% of Sharonville’s land is in Hamilton County, Ohio, and the rest is in Butler County, Ohio; we cover both parts. Sharonville addresses use ZIP 45241 around Sharon Woods and 45246 near the convention center. For a ballpark first, see the Cincinnati epoxy cost guide or try colors in the Floor Studio. The garage floor coating guide explains the systems.
Next door, Springdale, Ohio is on the list too. It is also in Hamilton County, it shares the 45246 ZIP code with part of Sharonville, and its homes are much the same age: about two-thirds were built between 1960 and 1989, and the median home dates to 1971. So a Springdale garage slab usually needs the same grinding and crack repair before any coating goes down.

Sixty-Year-Old Slabs Welcome
More Sharonville homes date from the 1960s than from any other decade. A slab that old can usually still take a coating once it is ground and patched, and if yours can’t, we tell you at the visit.

Smooth Concrete, Filled Cracks
The slab is ground smooth and its cracks, holes and divots filled before any coat. On a sixty-year-old garage, that matters more than color.

How a Sharonville Floor Gets Done
Five steps, starting with a visit that costs you nothing. Our installation page goes step by step.
We Come Out
FreeWe measure the space, check the slab for cracks, stains and old coatings, and talk through colors and systems. The price comes after we have seen the floor. Book a visit.
Grinding the Slab Smooth
PrepThe surface is ground and sanded smooth so the first coat bonds to clean concrete, not dirt or old paint. In basements we also check for moisture before recommending a system.
Cracks, Holes and Divots Filled
RepairCracks, holes and divots are filled so the finished floor reads flat. A crack that is still moving is a different problem, and we say so before coating.
Color, Texture, Top Coat
CoatsYour color is mixed to order and laid in sections. Flake, mica or glitter adds texture, a non-slip additive is available for grip, and a top coat goes over the color. Polyaspartic and polyurea are available too.
Photos, Clean-Up, Cure Times
FinishYou get before, during and after photos, and the crew clears the debris. Walk-on and drive-on times depend on the system, so ask us for yours.

Garage Epoxy
Ohio’s building code puts garage slabs in the same weather class as porches. A flake floor with a polyaspartic top coat keeps slush on top, within reach of a squeegee.

What Our Customers Say
Three jobs, in the customers’ own words. More are on our reviews page.
"They did an amazing job. They were very thorough, took their time, and cleaned up after themselves very nicely. Finished product is amazing. My friends are going to create a TikTok of our bar/floor. I would give them 10 Stars if I could. Highly recommend 👍"
"Nick was great to work with for our garage floor remodel. Was able to squeeze us in last minute. Floors are a huge upgrade and look amazing. Highly recommend!"
"Nick and Bryant did a fantastic job on our garage floor. Nick sat down with me and laid out the plan with the colors to achieve the look that we wanted. He then described the process and timeline necessary to complete the work. He sent pics throughout the process to keep me informed. The metallic epoxy turned out great! Almost looks like a natural matte finished marbled look."
Sharonville Epoxy Flooring Questions
Short answers first.
Yes. Epoxy Flooring Cincinnati puts down garage, basement and commercial floors across Sharonville, Ohio, including the part of the city that lies in Butler County, Ohio. Call (513) 434-8103, Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM, to set up a free visit.
Typically about $2,000 to $5,000 for a flake floor with a polyaspartic top coat, a typical range and not a quote. That is about $5 to $10 per square foot; 1-car garages run about $1,000 to $3,000 and 3-car garages about $3,000 to $8,000. Solid-color epoxy is about $3 to $6 per square foot, metallic about $6 to $12. Crack patching adds about $25 to $250, and a badly worn slab may need resurfacing at $3 to $7 per square foot. We quote each floor after seeing it; the cost guide explains what moves the number.
Usually, yes; an older slab just needs more prep. It is ground smooth and its cracks, holes and divots are filled first. If the top of the slab has started to flake, that layer is ground back and repaired, and if a crack is still moving, we tell you before coating it.
It helps, provided you rinse it. Road brine and salt ride home on your tires all winter. The National Ready Mixed Concrete Association advises hosing salt off garage slabs because de-icers speed up scaling on bare concrete. On a coated floor, slush sits on top where a squeegee or hose clears it. See our guide to Cincinnati’s climate and your epoxy floor for more.
Yes. Basement floors come up often in our Google reviews. Basement slabs can carry moisture, so we check the slab before recommending a system; a moisture-mitigation primer, if needed, typically adds about $1 to $3 per square foot. A coating won’t stop water coming in, but a sealed floor mops clean if water gets onto it.
It depends on the system. Of the three coatings, epoxy takes the longest to cure, and longer still on a cold slab, while a polyaspartic or polyurea top coat shortens the wait. Ask us for the walk-on and drive-on times for your floor before it’s booked.
Yes. Springdale, next to Sharonville in Hamilton County, is one of the 13 towns we cover, and the quote visit is free there too. Most Springdale homes went up between 1960 and 1989, so we check the slab for cracks and wear before we price the floor. Call (513) 434-8103, Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM.
