Epoxy Flooring in Mason, Ohio — Coatings for Newer Garages
More than two-thirds of Mason’s homes went up in 1990 or later, so most garage slabs here are past new but not yet old: the first salt rings and oil spots are setting in while the concrete is still worth protecting. We quote every epoxy floor in Mason in person, and our crew does the work. Rated 5.0 on Google from 59 reviews.
Garage Floors for a Town Built Mostly After 1990
Mason doesn’t look like the older neighborhoods near downtown Cincinnati. It had fewer than 5,700 residents in 1970 and about 35,800 by 2025, and its median home was built in 1996, the newest of the 13 towns we serve. Just over half of its homes went up in the 1990s and 2000s alone. We coat the garage floors in those houses, plus basements and laundry rooms and restaurant and showroom floors.
A slab from those years has already been through fifteen to thirty-five winters. Ohio’s residential code puts garage slabs in the same class as porches and outdoor steps: concrete exposed to the weather. In winter, road salt and slush ride in on your tires and melt on the floor. Bare concrete soaks that in; a sealed coating keeps it on top, where a squeegee or a hose can push it out the door.

Before any coat, the concrete is ground smooth and its cracks, holes and divots are filled. That hidden work is what the coating grips.
Color
Color Mixed to Order
Flake blends with mica or glitter, metallics in blue, red, silver or bronze, or one solid color. We mix it for your floor and can add a non-slip additive.

$2K–$5K
Typical Prices Up Front
A 2-car flake floor with a polyaspartic top coat typically runs about $2,000 to $5,000 around Cincinnati. That’s a typical range, not a quote; we price yours on site.

Newer Slabs, Protected Early
About 68% of Mason homes went up in 1990 or later. Coating a slab that age keeps road salt and oil drips sitting on top, where they clean up, instead of soaking into the concrete.

Grinding the Concrete Smooth
PrepThe surface is ground and sanded smooth so the coating has open concrete to grip. We also check for signs of moisture, which matters most in basements.
Filling Cracks, Holes & Divots
RepairCracks, holes and divots are filled level. Some soils around Greater Cincinnati swell and shrink with wet and dry spells, so if a crack is still moving, we tell you instead of coating over it.
Color Coats, Then the Top Coat
CoatsYour custom-mixed color goes down in sections, with any flake, mica or metallic worked in, then the top coat we recommended for your floor, such as polyaspartic or polyurea.
Clean-Up & Photos
DoneThe crew cleans up after itself and you get before, during and after photos of the job. Ask us for the walk-on and drive-on times; they depend on the system.

"Our basement floor turned out absolutely spectacular! I couldn’t have imagined it could look any better! Nick was super easy to work with and courteous of our household. TRUST ME YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR, and Epoxy Flooring Cincinnati was no doubt the route to go!!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!"
"Nick and Bryant did a fantastic job on our garage floor. Nick sat down with me and laid out the plan with the colors to achieve the look that we wanted. He then described the process and timeline necessary to complete the work. He sent pics throughout the process to keep me informed. The metallic epoxy turned out great! Almost looks like a natural matte finished marbled look."
"Second time using Nick’s company. Prompt, reasonable, and a beautiful result. Wounded Warrior is my color of choice."
Mason Epoxy Flooring Questions
Straight answers to what Mason homeowners ask us most.
Yes. Epoxy Flooring Cincinnati installs garage, basement and business floors in Mason, Ohio: we measure and quote each floor in person, and our crew does the work. Lebanon, Loveland and Sharonville are on the list too. Call (513) 434-8103, Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM.
Typically about $2,000 to $5,000 for a flake floor with a polyaspartic top coat, roughly $5 to $10 per square foot. A 1-car garage typically runs about $1,000 to $3,000 and a 3-car about $3,000 to $8,000. Those are typical ranges, not a quote: cracks, slab condition and moisture move the price, and we quote after seeing the floor. More in our cost guide.
A sealed, well-prepped floor keeps salty slush on the surface instead of letting it soak into the concrete, so you can squeegee or hose it out. Greater Cincinnati’s official weather station at CVG averages about 100 nights a year at or below freezing, most of which thaw by afternoon, and de-icing salt speeds up scaling on bare concrete through that cycle. A slab that is already flaking gets ground and repaired first. More in our guide to Cincinnati’s climate and your epoxy floor.
Yes. We check the slab for moisture first; if it needs a moisture-mitigation primer, that typically adds about $1 to $3 per square foot. A coated basement floor is easy to mop, but no coating keeps outside water from coming in, so a leak needs fixing before the floor goes down.
For most Mason garages, epoxy and polyaspartic together. An epoxy base carries the color, flake or metallic, and a clear polyaspartic coat goes on top: it returns to service sooner than plain epoxy, resists ambering where sun reaches the floor and gives salty slush and hot tires a tougher surface. Polyurea is available too. A basement or storage room that never sees road salt can often stay all-epoxy. We settle the system after we see your slab; the typical garage prices on this page assume flake under a polyaspartic top coat.
It depends on the system and the weather. A floor finished with a polyaspartic or polyurea top coat is back in use sooner than an all-epoxy floor, and plain epoxy cures more slowly on a cold garage slab. We give you the walk-on and drive-on times for your system when we quote, so you can plan where the cars go while it cures.
Yes. We also cover Florence, Erlanger, Newport and Fort Thomas. The service-area page lists all 13 towns.
