Choose the System, Then the Color
All three start with the same prep: concrete ground smooth, then cracks, holes and divots filled. What goes on top sets the look.
Flake
A colored epoxy base, a chip blend broadcast into it, and a clear top coat over both.
Typical: about $5–$10 per sq ft with a polyaspartic top coat

Pigment worked across the wet epoxy by hand, so every floor comes out one of a kind.
Typical: about $6–$12 per sq ft

One even shade of 100% solids epoxy. The plainest look of the three.

12 Flake Blends
A flake floor goes down in layers: a colored epoxy base, then the chip blend broadcast into the wet coat, then a clear top coat that locks the chips in. Each blend mixes several chip colors to give the speckled look.
Glitter or mica can be added for sparkle. For a floor that gets wet, like a garage in slushy weather or a basement laundry room, ask about the non-slip additive.
Screens shift color, so treat swatches as a guide. We bring samples of your favorites to the quote.

Six Chip Sizes
Pick a blend, then a chip size. These samples show one blend at every size: big chips make a bold, open pattern, the smallest a fine, tight speckle.
37 Metallic Pigments
Metallic floors skip the chips. The pigment is mixed into the epoxy and moved across the floor by hand while it is still wet, which gives the liquid-metal swirl and means no two floors match. Use one pigment or combine several; the chart runs from silvers and golds to blues, greens and browns.
“Nick and Bryant did a fantastic job on our garage floor. Nick sat down with me and laid out the plan with the colors to achieve the look that we wanted. … The metallic epoxy turned out great! Almost looks like a natural matte finished marbled look.”
A small square only hints at a whole metallic floor. See full rooms in the gallery and the metallic epoxy guide.

Solid Colors
A solid-color floor is one even shade of 100% solids epoxy: no chips, no swirl, just clean color for a basement, a workshop or a commercial room. It is also the most affordable of the three systems.
The chart shows 30 shades, from white, black and grays through blues, greens, reds, yellows, orange and browns.
Top Coats and Add-Ons
Color is only half the choice. The clear coat over it takes the daily wear. On a garage slab that matters every winter, when brine and salty slush ride in on the tires and sit on top until you squeegee or hose them off.
Ask us which top coat suits your room, and for the walk-on and drive-on times for the system you choose. Compare epoxy and polyaspartic.
